It is so much fun to talk to people about Baron, and answer thought-provoking questions. And I find it to be especially exciting whenever someone from the international community contacts me for an interview, because then Baron’s uplifting story has another opportunity to reach more children across the globe. How inspirational is that?
Recently, I had the pleasure of connecting with Leticia Pontoni, a writer for www.losbloguitos.com, an e-zine for Latino children that receives visitors from 123 countries around the world. She is such a nice person, and her lighthearted curiosity is refreshing! The questions she asks are quite insightful, too.
My interview is slated to go live on their site in February, 2010. I know it’s still a ways off, but it’ll be here before you know it. Visit www.losbloguitos.com next February and let’s get better acquainted!
As all of you faithful, and fun-loving Baron fans already know, learning and growing feels good! The main theme of Baron Thinks Dogs Are People Too! is personal accountability. To that end, I have enrolled in Social Media University, an online course offered by David Riklan, founder of SelfGrowth.com.
SelfGrowth.com is the most complete guide to information about Self -Improvement, Personal Growth and Self Help on the Internet. It is designed to be an organized directory, with articles and references to thousands of other Web Sites on the World Wide Web.
Upon my masterful use of the best techniques for utilizing social media tools, you all will benefit from Baron’s new blog, Facebook wall, YouTube videos, Twitter updates, and more! Together we’ll be at the leading edge of Baron’s evolving stories.
And if any of you grown-ups here today would like to learn more about how you can further your own destiny, just click on the SelfGrowth link in the upper right hand corner to enter an enlightening pathway.
Being interviewed on book blogs and blog radio shows is a blast! Here are opportunities for everyone to get to know more about me and my book. See the list of links in the upper right hand corner of the Events page, and select the interview of your choice.
Book Blog Interview, April 10, 2009, was conducted by Stacy, a book reviewer from Ohio.
Blog Radio Interview, April 24, 2009, was hosted by children’s author, Suzanne Lieurance, of Book Bites For Kids in Missouri. Book Bites For Kids is sponsored by The National Writing for Children Center.
Cyberspace is vast, so keep checking back here for updates as we take Baron out and about in person AND over the internet.
Peace.
Baron and I will take a car ride to Wisconsin for a book signing at an event to be sponsored by Farmers Insurance Group/Managing Information on Lost Kids—m.i.l.k.® Digital ID division.
This is such a worthy cause. The system enables families to keep an updated file of their child’s current personal stats (height, weight, photo, etc.) so that, in the event of an emergency, information can be immediately sent out to Amber Alert and law enforcement agencies.

West Clinton Elementary School
Clinton, UT
The high desert valley of the Wasatch mountains is where Baron made his most recent visit, which was to the five first grade classes of West Clinton Elementary School. What a great school! The ‘kid’ size auditorium was the perfect place for us to read aloud—and have a lively Q&A time.
The students were very well behaved, they asked super questions, and even had Baron dancing for them! The first graders at West Clinton Elementary rock!! : D
Thank you to Mr. Hammer and Mrs Thompson for inviting us. We had fun!
